I renamed social.are to social.txt took out
social.are from area.lst and added social.txt to
area.lst in its place but its still trying to read it
as a .are file. I got this error in tHiya
I just added in Erwin 's sedit snippet to edit socials
online vs. hardcoding them. I just want to make sure a
few things arent quirky before I go on adding a bunch
of stuff. I renamed sociaWhat ever happened to RomLama? I was a member once and was wondering if
anyone had a copy of the archive kicking around somewhere.

Hello I am trying to write one of these but I am having problems. I was able to

Now looking at db.c i see its trying to allocate perm memory for tErr how would i convert a negitive number to a positive number?
ie -5 to 5
or -754 to 754
in c?

ROM mailing lI 'm not sure why this was the problem but the
MAX_STRING in db.c was exceeded in an area file so I
went and increased the max and it fixed the entire
problem. Now do_area and aedit_level works greBtw I was also thinking the problem might be with
saving the levels in aedit or when the area is
reloaded after the copyover?
Alright I am having a weird problem with do_area...
it might not even be with do_area but another piece of
code I wrote for aedit. I 'll try to explain...
I added this to do_areas in db.c
I added a little piece of code in to do_wake to
prevent someone from waking another player up while
that person is sleeping on a piece of furniture

I 'm trying to do something similar to the spell
create_spring but I want the object (for instance the
spring) loaded to the room to only be loaded a max
amount of once. So if a player does thisHey.
I already have mprogs in so I was having a really
hard time snippeting in the rprogs/oprogs because a
lot of it had mprog code in it. Anyone know a good
site that gives directions on addinOoooo I had an idea use SQL to save logs in! and add some sort of log
reader for admins.
