After struggling with getting the Overland snippet installed I 've turned to
the Overland Bitmaps snippet that Eos sent us.
I really like it but I and my compiler are getting sI am attempting to setup my ANSI title screen. I can 't seem to get to color codes to read. Perhaps I 'm using the wrong codes? I 've tried the & codes and the ANSI standard codes (I think. Anyone know I was wondering if there was a list of typos for the
stock mud. I know there is one in 10313 and I have
found quite a few. I was just wondering if anyone had
a list of them or do I need to searcThe bug is when a player is fighting a mob he gets level 50 from like level 2 or something because the exp requirement for level 50 is negative I think. So the playercan just fight a really stronIs there a way to alter/change it with a text editor?
What file is the information loaded into for each
character? I am not a coder and do not do any
coding. I am using smaug wizard 2.02.
BMy last post was not too explanatory. What I am
looking for is while building and while rediting
how can I see the room exit numbers. Meaning is
there a way when I type <exit > the exits shoIs there any way to show the room exits while
building? I am not a coder nor do I pretend to be.
I am using Smaug Wizard 2.02 but have seen nothing
showing me how to do this.

_______Um in typing 'level ' as a lvl 65 it looks like mortals
can reach level 65 by leveling? I havent tried yet my
muds no where near up but is there a thing in there

Savearea is only used for prototype areas (Ones that are loaded manually
via loadarea).
If you edit an area that was already installed and running in your MUD
you save changes using foldarea.
AnyI could not find the answer to this question in any
help file or online source. Is there a way to show
the room numbers when in building mode? Can an IMM
see the room numbers and the exit room nDoes anyone have something that gives the help files
for all the wizhelp commands?

Hello. Based on this question I am obviously a
newbie builder to Smaug. I have version 1.4
pre-compiled for Windows.
I am wanting to save mobs etc. I cannot figure out
what file the mobs arHello. I have the windows pre-compiled smaug 1.4. I
have loaded it to run. I went onto my mud to make
some changes. After I rassigned I took out some
rooms. Then I added a few rooms. Then II found an interesting bug in do_put...here is an example of a scenario that led me to it
If a character has (20) of an object that has a weight of 1 each and
tries a 'put all.object container 'Hi. Is EDITING (not creating new) races/classes as
easy as changing around the text files? Or is there
code changes involved as well? Ive seen help files on
creating new races but not editing currhey there.

i got came with the source codes but would not save
characters properly no matter how many help files i
read and how many things i corrected.Ive been editing some of the existing areas mainly
newdark.are and ive come to where i would like to add
new mobs. Ive created 3 new ones and i would
"minvoke " them in different locations and "Maybe this is how it is supposed to be and im just
missing something but i have read many help files and
cant find a reason for it. When im in combat and i
reach 0 hp the combat stops and any cGreetings list and here 's hoping this isn 't a
double-post on my part P
Well after a rather extended hiatus I am back to
working on my mud locally. I 'm running v1.4a under
cygwin b20 (Yeah IGreetings list. After a long hiatus I have returned
to working on my mud. Now I am running 1.4a under
cygwin b20 (Yes outdated I know) on win98 but on a
new machine (same old HD though). Now I use Zylara 's smaug through Cygwin on Windows98. Its
basically stock with a few snippets.
I often use echos in programs (mpecho mpechoat
mpechoaround) but I often like them to start with
indI figured out what the problem was. In the help bset it tells you the board type needs
to be 1 while the mail board type is 2. The board type actually needed to be type 0
