Plea to all the Mac Ogre users,

There has been a long standing rendering issue with Ogre on the Mac... see
this post for more information:

One used to be able to get around this bug by including the ogrehead mesh in
the scene as described. After my macbook pro installed its routine software
update today the problem has become much worse. Adding the ogre head no
longer gets around the problem. Most of the sample code is also now
exhibiting depth buffer related problems. With the additional artifacts now
showing up coupled with no known workaround Ogre is practically unusable on
the mac. Has anyone figured out the cause of this yet or know of any way to
get around it?
