AAAAAARRRGGHHH!!! So this was it!!!! A couple of months ago, I stood away working for 42 continuous hours trying to track down this bug. I never realized of the double prepareMovie but the result was me moving everything from prepareMovie to startMovie.
Thanks for the heads up, Alex.
