Keep in mind that if you ONLY support HID manager level input a lot
of assistive technology software (software used by people who cannot
use a keyboard and/or mouse to access their computer) will not work
because it emulates mouse and keyboard at a higher level than HID. At
HID level you would not "see" that input. So I would suggest that you
always (perhaps optionally) allow also for regular Cocoa/Carbon event
input for keyboard and mouse. For gamepad or joystick input you of
course need the HID manager.
